Barcelona considering shock move for Chelsea striker?

Barcelona have reportedly mulling over an approach for Alvaro Morata whose days with Chelsea appear limited after being left out of the matchday squad to face Tottenham Hotspur in midweek.
According to Sport, the Blaugrana are keen on pursuing a marksman in the New Year in order to cover up for Luis Suarez, who has been struggling with occasional injury concerns.
It is added that Morata has been earmarked as a probable target, although they would only want to sign him on a temporary deal with the obligation to buy at the end of the campaign.
The Spaniard has scored nine goals for the Blues across all competitions this term but there have been many occasions where he has been found guilty of missing clear-cut chances.
Due to this, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has regularly voiced his concerns regarding the striker department and the club are likely to pursue a replacement for Morata before sanctioning his sale.
