Atletico Madrid make transfer decision on Alvaro Morata
Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have reportedly informed Chelsea that they are only interested in a temporary move for Alvaro Morata this month.
Morata has failed to cement a regular starting role under Maurizio Sarri in recent weeks and he was completely excluded from the matchday squad for the clash against Newcastle United last weekend.
According to The Mail, the Blues are unlikely to get their wish to offload Morata on a permanent basis with Atleti having their own doubts regarding the marksman.
It is added that the Europa League holders will propose a six-month loan for the Spaniard instead, although the Blues are not entirely convinced regarding such a deal.
Morata has already netted nine goals for the Blues in all competitions this term but he has been guilty of squandering numerous clear-cut chances in between his scoring exploits.
Due to this, Eden Hazard has been tasked with the job of leading the line with Olivier Giroud likewise struggling for form during the ongoing league campaign.
