Arsenal make contact to sign James Rodriguez?
Arsenal have reportedly made contact with the representatives of James Rodriguez regarding a possible loan move during the current transfer window.
The Colombian is currently in the second year of his two-season long loan with Bayern Munich but he is widely expected to return to Real Madrid at the end of the campaign.
However, The Independent claims the Gunners are exploring the possibility of signing Rodriguez on a temporary deal this month with suggestions that Bayern could be prepared to terminate his loan contract in advance.
The Bundesliga holders have already turned down the option of securing a permanent deal for Rodriguez in the summer after witnessing the attacker struggle to establish himself with just three league goals this term.
A return to Real Madrid could be an option for Rodriguez in the near future but even then, his gametime could be reduced with Los Blancos aiming to sign one of Eden Hazard or Christian Eriksen for next season.
