Maurizio Sarri speaks on Chelsea's top-four hopes after Wolves draw
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has said that he is confident that the Blues can make the top four despite the 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues dominated the proceedings against the west Midlands side on Sunday but the Wolves were the ones to open the scoring through Raul Jimenez before the hour mark.
Thereafter, the Capital outfit struggled to find the leveller until the second minute of injury time through Eden Hazard and this ensured that they avoided a second successive defeat to the Wolves.
Speaking after the game, Sarri admitted that the opportunity was missed to secure a victory, given third-placed Spurs had dropped points against Southampton on the road.
He added that the team are still in contention for the top four with a game in hand which should bring them closer to their aim, he said: "When you have to play only 10 matches, every match you’re not able to win is a missed opportunity.
"In the last six matches, we won four matches and drew the other two. So there is a little consistency in this moment. We have one match in hand, so we have to have be confident."
Chelsea are currently three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal on the table but they can go level with their London counterparts, should they overcome Everton on the road next weekend.
