Manchester United prepared to break the bank for Premier League midfielder
Manchester United have reportedly earmarked West Ham United's Declan Rice as their prime midfield target for the summer despite the 20-year-old recently signing a new long-term contract with the Hammers.
Rice has been in a good run of form for the Hammers over the course of the season and he was recently handed with his maiden caps with the England national side.
According to The Independent, the Red Devils are keeping a close watch on the proceedings of the midfielder, and they could be prepared to pay big to lure him from the London Stadium in the summer.
Ander Herrera is widely expected to leave the Red Devils when his contract expires at the end of the season and Rice has been identified as an ideal candidate to replace the Spaniard.
Rice has netted two goals from 33 appearances for the Hammers this term. He is expected to feature for the club in tonight's Premier League showdown against Chelsea on the road.
