Manchester United enquire about signing Bayern Munich defender?
Manchester United have reportedly enquired with Bayern Munich over the possibility of signing centre-back Niklas Sule during the summer.
The Red Devils are likely to pursue a new central defender at the end of the season and they have already been linked with the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Toby Alderweireld and Matthijs de Ligt.
According to Sport1, the Mancunian giants have now earmarked Sule as another potential target for the summer and they have approached Bayern regarding the player's availability.
Sule has been with the Bavarian giants for the past 21 months and during this period, he has racked 78 appearances for the club despite the competition from Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels.
United have looked defensively vulnerable this term with a number of lapses and Sule has been identified as a player, who can provide a strong physical presence at the back.
Sule has more than three years remaining on his existing deal at Bayern and the Red Devils may have to pay a significant fee, if they are to convince the Bundesliga holders into a sale.
