Predicted Manchester United lineup to face Chelsea

Manchester United are scheduled to host Chelsea in this weekend's Premier League meeting at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are currently three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea and they can enhance their Champions League prospects by beating the west London giants on Sunday.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

David de Gea has recently experienced a tough period between the sticks where he has been guilty of conceding cheap goals. The Spaniard is still expected to start in goal against the Blues.

In the backline, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to revert to a four-man backline. Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling are pretty much certain to feature at the heart of the defence while Ashley Young and Luke Shaw are likely to slot into the right and left-back positions respectively.

In the midfield, Paul Pogba remains a certain candidate to feature from the off and he could be accompanied by Fred and the returning Ander Herrera. Herrera has been sidelined with a hamstring issue in recent weeks but Ole has confirmed that the Spaniard is available to feature against the Blues.

In the frontline, Marcus Rashford is likely to keep his place from the midweek defeat to Manchester City. However, Jesse Lingard could get the axe with Anthony Martial a probable contender to start. The pair can be fancied to feature on the flanks with Romelu Lukaku leading the line against his ex-employers.
