Arsenal ready to move for Barcelona defender?
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to make a move for Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti, should they come victorious in the Europa League final against Chelsea next week.
Gunners boss Unai Emery is likely to strengthen the central defence this summer but he could be working on a limited budget unless the club qualify for next season's Champions League.
According to L'Equipe, the Gunners are currently not looking into a move for Umtiti but their stance could change, should they get the better of Chelsea in the Europa League final.
Umtiti has been linked with an exit from the Catalans in the past few months and reports indicate that the Blaugrana may sell as they seek to bring a new centre-back in the form of Matthijs de Ligt.
In that case, Umtiti would become the fourth-choice centre-back behind the likes of Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet and the Spanish champions could accept a sum of around £50m for his sale.
