Zinedine Zidane wants Manchester United star at Real Madrid
Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane is reportedly prioritising the signing of midfielder Paul Pogba from Manchester United this summer.
Los Blancos experienced a disappointing season last term as they failed to compete for league and European honours and they are now expected to go on a spending spree under the guidance of Zidane.
According to Marca, both Pogba and Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen have been earmarked as probable transfer targets but Zidane is said to hold a keen preference to sign the former.
However, the French tactician is still said to be pondering over an approach, given the club would have to allocate significant funds for Pogba when compared to Eriksen, who has just 12 months remaining on his contract.
Pogba has two years left on his existing deal at Old Trafford but United have the option of extending the contract for a further 12 months. As such, the Red Devils seem keen on keeping him for at least one year before sanctioning his sale.
