Belgium defender set to join Manchester United?
Manchester United are reported to have beaten Arsenal to the services of Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier.
The Belgian has just 12 months remaining on his current deal with Les Parisiens and this has seen him linked with a potential move away from the club.
According to DH.Be, both United and Arsenal have expressed their interest in signing the Belgian but the former seem to have won the race due to the player's preference.
Meunier has on a number of occasions expressed his fondness for United and reports indicate that has encouraged him to snub advances from Unai Emery's team.
United are likely to part with a sum of around £22m to the right-sided defender, who has made nearly 100 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain since joining them in 2016.
Aside from his right-back role, he has featured in an advanced attacking position at different phases of his career and that could enhance his prospects of commanding a regular role at United.
