Liverpool favourites to sign Ligue 1 winger?
Liverpool are reportedly leading Inter Milan in the race to sign Nicolas Pepe from Lille this summer.
The Ivorian recently enjoyed a top campaign with Lille in the French top-flight where a tally of 22 goals and 11 assists helped them secure the runner-up spot while qualifying for next season's Champions League.
According to L'Equipe, both Inter and Liverpool are in the running to sign the talented attacker but the latter seem to hold the edge in recruiting the services of the 24-year-old.
The Nerazzurri are currently willing to pay around £60m and that remains below Lille's £70m asking price which the Reds are apparently prepared to match.
Premier League rivals Arsenal have also been touted to make a transfer approach for the attacker, but they are likely to afford the price tag unless they are able to garner sufficient funds from player sales.
Pepe has also been linked with a big-money move to the Chinese Super League but the attacker is expected to snub the transfer interest after doing the same during the winter transfer window.
