Manchester United have reportedly made an opening bid worth £40m for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, although the offer has been deemed insufficient by Crystal Palace.

The Red Devils are expected to be in the market for a top-class right-back this summer with Antonio Valencia leaving the club while Ashley Young and Diogo Dalot have failed to impress on a regular basis.

According to Sky Sports News, United have lodged a bid in the region of £40m for Wan-Bissaka but the proposal has been deemed below the Eagles' valuation.

Roy Hodgson's side are not desperate looking at the prospect of selling their graduate but reports indicate that they want a figure close to £60m to consider a probable sale.

Wan-Bissaka only made his first-team debut for the Eagles during the backend of the 2017/18 season but he has since made tremendous progress to the point that he has become their first-choice right-back.

He has three years remaining on his current deal with the club.
