Manchester United announce the signing of 21-year-old defender
Manchester United have officially confirmed the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for a reported fee in the region of £50m.
The 21-year-old becomes the club's second signing of the summer transfer window following the arrival of Daniel James from Swansea City earlier in the month.
"Aaron is a young, hungry player and eager to learn and that's important at his age. I am delighted he has signed with us and we look forward to continuing his tremendous development so far," Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told the club's official website.
United have placed a keen emphasis on bolstering the squad with young British talents and they have already landed the signatures of Wan-Bissaka and James before the beginning of pre-season.
The club could continue with the same trend with Newcastle United's Sean Longstaff on their radar, though it remains unclear whether the midfielder would fancy moving to Old Trafford at such an early phase of his career.
Unlike Wan-Bissaka, Longstaff has yet to feature for the Magpies through a complete season and he has recently highlighted that he is committed to the Tyneside outfit for the forthcoming campaign.
