Arsenal make move to sign former Chelsea captain?

Arsenal are reportedly one of the clubs in the running to secure the services of defender Gary Cahill following his release from Chelsea this month.
The 33-year-old is set to part ways with the Blues when his contract expires in two days' time and thereafter, he is likely to choose another club in the Premier League.
According to 90min, the former England international has been attracting interest from the likes of Aston Villa, West Ham United and Crystal Palace, and the trio could now face stiff competition from the Gunners.
Cahill is understood to prioritise a move to a London-based club during the summer and the Gunners could have the advantage as they are able to offer him with European football.
Nonetheless, the veteran may want assurances of regular gametime alongside and it remains to be seen whether Unai Emery is prepared to guarantee the same for the former Bolton Wanderers ace.
