Atletico Madrid confident of keeping Chelsea striker next season
Atletico Madrid are reportedly confident that Alvaro Morata will remain with the club next term despite Chelsea holding the option to recall him from his loan deal.
The Spain international joined the La Liga giants on an 18-month loan deal in January and he managed to contribute six goals from 17 games during the backend of the campaign.
A recent report from AS suggested that the Blues may recall Morata from his temporary stint in Madrid unless Atleti agree to pay a £50m fee for the permanent signing of the marksman next summer.
However, a fresh story from Marca has claimed that won't be the case and Atleti are relatively confident that the striker will remain at the Wanda Metropolitano for the 2019/2020 campaign.
Morata struggled to cement a regular starting role under both Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea and he has recently indicated that he has no plans of sealing a return even though Frank Lampard takes charge.
