Arsenal move to agree deal for Spanish attacker

Lucas Vazquez news

Arsenal in for Vazquez

Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Lucas Vazquez, who has apparently been deemed surplus to requirements at Real Madrid.

Vazquez made 31 appearances for Los Blancos in the recent league campaign but it appears that he is free to leave the club as part of the summer rebuild.

According to AS, the Gunners are looking at potential additions to the wider attacking department and they have been alerted by the availability of Vazquez in the transfer market.

The same outlet claims that the clubs are negotiating a deal for the Spain international with Los Blancos prepared to accept a package of around £30m including add-ons for the winger.

Los Blancos are likely to sanction the sales of a number of first-team stars, considering they have spent more than £250m to purchase five players including Eden Hazard.

Aside from Vazquez, Marcelo, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez are the other high-profile names, who could be shown the exit door before the close of the Spanish transfer window.
