Arsenal end transfer interest in Hakim Ziyech
Arsenal have reportedly decided against making a move for Ajax's Hakim Ziyech despite the attacker being available for a fee of around £25m this summer.
The Morocco international had a tremendous campaign with Ajax last term and he contributed 21 goals and 24 assists en route to the club's first domestic double in 17 years.
According to BBC Sport, the Gunners are currently not in a position to discuss straight-cash moves for new recruits, considering they are working on a limited £45m budget.
The same publication claims that the club have already been priced out of moves for Wilfried Zaha and Ryan Fraser, and Ziyech will likewise be ignored due to their financial constraints.
Arsenal are keen on pursuing a new left-sided defender and centre-back this summer, and the need for the latter has risen with Laurent Koscienly expressing the desire to move on from the north London side.
Unai Emery's side have made just one signing for the summer with Gabriel Martinelli joining them from Ituano for a package of around £6m. It remains to be seen whether the teenager is integrated into the first-team.
