Rose: on cusp of shock PSG move?

Tottenham defender Danny Rose is set to make a transfer switch to Ligue 1 giants Paris St Germain, after Spurs left the England international defender at home for a key pre-season friendly, thus allowing the former Leeds United man the opportunity to leave the club for pastures new. Rose has been very vocal regarding his future in recent months, with the player constantly linked with a transfer away from White Hart Lane.

Numerous teams have been linked with a move for Rose, including Premier League rivals Manchester United. However, Rose is known to favour a move abroad with an unlikely transfer to PSG set to be pushed through in the next week.

Paris St Germain manager Thomas Tuchel is revamping his defence ahead of the upcoming campaign and wants to sign Rose as his first-choice left-back for the Ligue 1 season.

Rose, who arrived at Spurs 12 years ago from Leeds United, has been a mainstay of Mauricio Pochettino's defence since the Argentine took charge at the club, however with Rose having served a lengthy period at the club, Pochettino decided now would be a suitable time to let the defender leave.
