Manchester United turn their attention to Daniele Rugani?
Manchester United are weighing up an approach for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani amid their frustration over the prolonged negotiations to sign Harry Maguire.
The Red Devils are desperate to land a central defender this summer and Maguire from Leicester City has been earmarked as the prime target to fulfil the slot.
However, there has been no agreement with the Foxes, who are demanding around £90m for the defender and Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Red Devils may switch their attention elsewhere with the transfer deadline approaching.
The Mancunian giants are currently locked in negotiations with Juventus over a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala, and it is suggested that they may use the talks to propose a move for Rugani, who has also been linked with Arsenal.
Rugani has been a back-up player behind Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci in the Bianconeri ranks and it is claimed that he may prefer a fresh challenge with the recent arrival of Matthijs de Ligt expected to further drop him down the pecking order.
