Arsenal confirm the signing of Nicolas Pepe
Arsenal have confirmed the club-record signing of Nicolas Pepe from Lille. The Ivorian has penned a five-year contract with the Gunners and he will wear the number 19 jersey.
"Nicolas is a highly-rated and talented winger who was wanted by many of the top teams in Europe. Signing a top-class winger has been one of our key objectives in this transfer window and I'm delighted he's joining," Emery told the club's official website.
The 24-year-old has become the club's fourth signing of the summer transfer window following the arrivals of Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba and Dani Ceballos - the latter on a season-long loan from Real Madrid.
The north London giants are expected to continue their spending spree in the forthcoming days and reports indicate that they are on the cusp of sealing an agreement for Celtic's Kieran Tierney.
Aside from this, the Gunners are looking into a deal for a new central defender and they are reported to be planning an approach to sign Daniele Rugani on a two-year-loan from Juventus.
