Manchester United are reportedly deemed to be on the cusp of signing Mario Mandzukic from Juventus during the ongoing transfer window.

The Red Devils are understood to have made enquiries for the marksman in the past few weeks and it appears that they are now on the verge of landing his signature.

According to Tuttosport, the Croatian is expected to cost a fee between £10m and £15m and his switch to Old Trafford could be finalised as early as Monday.

The same publication claims that the transfer would be independent of the ongoing negotiations between the clubs over a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala.

Mandzukic has made more than 160 appearances for the Serie A holders since joining them from Atletico Madrid four years ago, but he does not appear in the plans of new boss Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri is understood to hold the intention of pursuing a new striker this summer and Lukaku may replace Mandzukic, provided Dybala accepts to join United in an exchange deal.
