Tottenham table 25 million euro offer for Elseid Hysaj
Tottenham have made an offer of 25 million euros to sign Elseid Hysaj from Napoli. The Albanian international is considered one of the Serie A outfit's best defenders in recent seasons and a move to the Premier League could soon beckon as Mauricio Pochettino looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new campaign.
Hysaj, 25, started his career with his hometown club Shkodra before making a move to Italian side Empoli. After four years there, a move to Napoli beckoned, and the right-back has since flourished in Serie A and has caught the eye of many of Europe's top teams.
The Albanian international captain would prefer to stay in Italy, according to reports, with both Roma and Juventus closely monitoring the defender's situation. However, Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to sign a defender having lost Juan Foyth to injury last week and following the departure of Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid.
Hysaj has played 46 games for Albania and 170 games for Napoli, but has yet to have scored a goal for his club or country.
