Brighton seal move for Maupay

Brighton and Hove Albion have completed a transfer for striker Neal Maupay from Championship club Brentford. The highly rated attacker joins Brighton after rejecting the advances of Aston Villa and Swansea City, instead deciding to head to the South Coast to join the Premier League side.
The forward has signed a four year contract in Brighton and is expected to challenge Glenn Murray for a spot in the first-team.
Maupay bagged 37 goals in 85 games for his club and the former Nice and Saint Etienne player arrives at his new club for a reported £18.5 million transfer fee.
“Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of striker Neal Maupay from Brentford, on undisclosed terms,” a statement read on the club’s official website.
“The 22-year-old Frenchman has been a long-term target of the club and has agreed a four-year contract, after passing his medical at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre earlier today.”
Having completed a move for the striker, manager Graham Potter commented: "Neal will add an extra dimension to our existing forward options. His record in the Championship has been exceptional and now his challenge is to transfer that to the Premier League."
