AS Roma keen on signing Alexis Sanchez
Roma have reportedly held discussions with Manchester United regarding a potential loan move for Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.
The 30-year-old has just returned to training with the Red Devils following a vacation for his Copa America exploits in Brazil during the summer.
According to The Telegraph, the Giallorossi are keen on offering an escape route to the former Arsenal man, who has contributed just five goals from 45 appearances for the Red Devils.
The same outlet claims that the Rome-based outfit have proposed a season-long loan for the 30-year-old, although it is unclear whether the Red Devils would accept the offer.
Sanchez has been largely out-of-favour for a starting role with the Red Devils, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be tempted to keep him after the sale of Romelu Lukaku.
With the departure of Lukaku, United have just three senior centre-forward options in Sanchez, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial. Mason Greenwood could, however, make his breakthrough this term.
