Chelsea eyeing club-record move for Ivorian winger?
Chelsea could reportedly make a club-record move to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The west London side are currently under a transfer ban until the summer of 2020, but they are optimistic of reducing the embargo by six months after the recent appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
According to The Sun, the Blues are said to be lining up their targets for the winter transfer window and Zaha has been earmarked as one of the prime options to strengthen the wider attacking department.
It is added that the west London giants could be prepared to match the Eagles' £80m asking price for the winger, thereby breaking their transfer record which is currently held by Kepa Arrizabalaga's £71.6m move from Athletic Bilbao last year.
Zaha was the subject of interest from Arsenal and Everton during the recently-concluded transfer window, but both teams decided against pursuing his services after being put off by the Eagles' valuation.
