Gary Pallister urges Manchester United to sign Leicester City star
Manchester United legend Gary Pallister has urged his former club to pursue the services of James Maddison from Leicester City in the near future.
Maddison has a fantastic debut season with the Foxes last term where he contributed seven goals and seven assists, and he has started the current campaign in better form with two goals and two assists from the opening seven games.
As a result, there has already been speculation that the 22-year-old could pursue a bigger challenge elsewhere and Pallister believes the attacker can take United to the next level.
"There was a lot of talk about him in the press. He stood out in the game against Tottenham, he's got a lot of quality and energy – and he obviously scored the winner. He's the type of player who can take Man United to the next level," he said via Goal.com.
Maddison picked up an ankle problem during the closing stages of the 2-1 league triumph over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, and he remains a major doubt for the league clash against Newcastle United tomorrow.
The east Midlands outfit are currently third on the table with their bright start to the season. They will be favourites for the Magpies clash regardless of the absence of Maddison.
