Real Madrid make Paul Pogba transfer decision

Real won't return with fresh Pogba bid in January

Real Madrid are unlikely to make a fresh approach to sign midfielder Paul Pogba from Manchester United when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.

The midfielder was heavily linked with a switch to the Spanish capital last summer after publicly declaring that he wanted to pursue a new challenge after three seasons with the Red Devils.

However, that was not the case with the Red Devils showing no interest in sanctioning his sale and ultimately, Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane was left frustrated.

According to AS, the 13-time European champions are unlikely to make a renewed offer for the Frenchman in the New Year after spending heavily during the summer.

The same publication claims that president Florentino Perez wants Zidane to utilise the summer purchases effectively first and has no plans for a mid-season spending spree.

Real Madrid are presently sixth in the league standings with 18 points but they have a game in hand after their El Clasico clash against Barcelona was postponed.
