Arsenal want to bring in a defender from Eintracht Frankfurt
Arsenal are planning on a move for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Martin Hinteregger in January 2020, according to Football Insider. Arsenal are competing with West Ham United who are also interested in the Austrian. Bringing Hinteregger in will set Arsenal back about £22 million.
Hinteregger has played 44 times for Austrian national team. The 27-year-old previously played for Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Augsburg before joining Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Gunners have problems in defence and Unai Emery is working hard to recruit some solid defenders. They signed 2 centre-backs in the form of David Luiz and William Saliba over the summer.
David Luiz left Chelsea to join London rivals Arsenal in a £8 million deal. He has scored two league goals for Arsenal since the start of the season. Arsenal also signed William Saliba from Ligue 1 club Saint Etienne in a £27 million deal this summer. He rejoined Saint Etienne on loan for the 2019–20 Ligue 1 season.
