Matic set for United exit?

Nemanja Matic has reportedly signalled his intention to leave Manchester United when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.

The 31-year-old has experienced a difficult season with the Red Devils and he has been restricted to just two starts in the Premier League.

The Serbian is presently on the sidelines with an injury but he is still not assured of a starting spot on his comeback with Scott McTominay and Fred ahead of him in the pecking order.

According to The Mail, the Serbian is expected to push through a mid-season exit from the Red Devils amid interest from the likes of AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus.

Matic's current deal is due to expire at the end of the season but the Red Devils are likely to exercise the 12-month extension as they seek to command a decent price for his sale.

The potential exit of the Serbian could coincide with United pursuing a new midfielder at the turn of the year. West Ham United's Declan Rice has been identified as a possible transfer target.
