Michy Batshuayi speaks on his Chelsea future
Belgium international Michy Batshuayi has indicated that he is committed to Chelsea despite the fact that he has received limited gametime during the first half of the season.
The striker spent the previous season on loan with Valencia and Crystal Palace respectively but he was fancied to receive more playing time following Frank Lampard's arrival.
However, that has clearly not been the case and the former Marseille man has had to contend with a regular bench role with Tammy Abraham emerging as Lampard's go-to man upfront.
As a result, there has been speculation regarding his future but Batshuayi has said that he has no concerns regarding his reduced gametime with the west London giants.
"I have never been a full-fledged starter, but Chelsea is my club, that's where I feel at home. It's a club I love deeply," he was quoted as saying by Goal.com.
Batshuayi has managed just 251 minutes of first-team football this campaign but he has made the most of the opportunity and grabbed five goals and two assists.
