Denis Zakarias agent speaks on Arsenal transfer interest

Zakaria won't leave Monchengladbach - Agent

Denis Zakaria's agent Mathieu Beda has revealed that his client won't be parting ways with Borussia Monchengladbach amid the transfer interest from Arsenal.

A recent report indicated that the Gunners are looking to offer Granit Xhaka as a makeweight to Monchengladbach as they seek to negotiate a player-plus-cash deal for Zakaria.

However, the midfielder's representative has now poured cold water to the gossip by stressing that the 22-year-old is not planning to switch clubs in the near future.

"Denis will not leave Borussia in the winter, a change is 100 per cent excluded. He has been playing really well for weeks, but he still has more potential and he wants to show that in Gladbach now instead of dealing with a change," he told Bild.

Arsenal are likely to pursue a new midfielder at the turn of the year amid suggestions that Xhaka may have played his final game for the Gunners following his outburst with the club's supporters last month.

Xhaka has been left out of the matchday squad for the past four matches for the Gunners and it looks likely that he will head through the exit door in the forthcoming transfer window.
