Leicester City make transfer decision on Ben Chilwell

Ben Chilwell news

Foxes won't sell Chilwell in January

Leicester City will reportedly turn down the option to sell defender Ben Chilwell, should the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United make an approach.

The England international has been in stunning form for club and country this term and he recently bagged three assists for the Three Lions in a Euro 2020 qualifier.

As a result, there has been much speculation over his next challenge but Standard Sport claims that the Foxes have no intention to sanction the player's sale in the New Year.

United have relied on Ashley Young and Brandon Williams on the left side of the defence this term with Luke Shaw struggling with muscular injury concerns.

As such, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to recruit another left-sided defender with experience and Chilwell perfect fits the club's requirements for the long-term.

Elsewhere, Marcos Alonso and Emerson have remained inconsistent for the Blues despite their strong start and Frank Lampard is open to working with Chilwell.

Chilwell's current deal with the Foxes expires only in the summer of 2024 and the club are in a strong position to decline bids in the next few transfer windows.
