Lampard produces mixed reaction after Chelsea's win at Arsenal

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has provided a mixed reaction after the club's terrific comeback win over Arsenal in the Premier League.

The west London giants were second best during the course of the opening half and they trailed by a 1-0 scoreline at the break.

In the second half, they dominated the proceedings in terms of the possession and eventually bagged a key equaliser in the 84th minute.

Jorginho, who was lucky to avoid a second yellow card, tapped in the equaliser after a Bernd Leno mistake from a corner.

Few moments later, Tammy Abraham bagged the winner on the counter-attack and that sealed a dramatic four-minute comeback.

Following the game, Lampard appreciated his side's efforts but accepted that the belief was lacking until the mistake leading to the goal.

"I don’t want to sit here and declare we’re full of spirit but it’s a great sign for us that we won the game, to see the difference in the second half," he told Football.London.

"Fight, desire - we kept pushing and controlled that second half. Our problem at home has been control. It took a mistake from them to get the goal and then we had the belief."

Chelsea go into the New Year in the fourth spot in the standings. They now now hold a four-point advantage over fifth-placed Manchester United.
