Chelsea favourites to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker?

Chelsea are reportedly regarded as the favourites to secure the services of Julian Draxler from Paris Saint-Germain when the transfer window reopens next month.

Blues boss Frank Lampard has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with the club and they are currently positioned in the fourth spot with a four-point advantage over fifth-placed Manchester United.

Still, the English tactician is keen on strengthening the attack further and L'Equipe claims that Draxler is one of the names on the club's shortlist for the January transfer window.

Draxler has been restricted to just 434 minutes of top-flight football this season and he has mostly played second fiddle to the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Angel di Maria and Mauro Icardi in the attack.

Should the Blues find an agreement for Draxler, they could thereafter sanction the sale of Pedro, who has been deemed surplus to requirements under Lampard.

Pedro has made the solitary start for the Blues in the past couple of months and the Spaniard is likely to push for an exit at the beginning of the year.
