According to Daily Mail, PSG will demand £8.5million for Edinson Cavani should Atletico Madrid sign him in the summer.

The Rojiblancos turn out to be the front runners for the Uruguayan striker, whose contract is set to expire at the end of this season.

Despite the concrete talks between both the clubs regarding the potential transfer, Atletico would now be forced to pay around £8.5million for the 32-year-old.

Cavani has been constantly overlooked by Thomas Tuchel this season, as he had managed to make only 8 appearances in Ligue 1. Meanwhile, Mauro Icardi, who is bound to Inter Milan, has grown into an important asset for the Parisiens, bagging 14 goals in all competitions.

Atletico appear to be keen on adding reinforcements to their attack following the injury of Diego Costa.

Thomas Lemar is also linked with an exit, with Arsenal and Tottenham turning out to be the potential suitors for the French midfielder.

Diego Simeone's men are currently fourth in the La Liga table as a result of their fluctuating form, which has resulted in 4 defeats and draws so far.
