Bayern rebuff interest in Manchester City winger

According to Sky Sports, Bayern Munich have ruled out the possibility of signing Leroy Sane in the summer.

The Manchester City winger has been widely tipped to leave Etihad, with Bayern turning out to be the potential destination.

The Bavarians sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed that the club has no intentions in signing the 23-year-old, who is currently recuperating from ACL.

Bayern have instead turned their attention towards Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, who holds price tag worth 80m.

City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed that Sane was doing well on his recovery and said that he could return to action in a few weeks.

Sky Blues have so far endured quite a disappointing season in the Premier League, looking like a shadow of their former self. They are currently third in the Premier League table, trailing table-toppers Liverpool by 14 points.

Guardiola’s men picked up a comprehensive 3-1 win over Manchester United in the Carabao Cup and are set to face Aston Villa this Sunday.
