Frank Lampard drops fresh update on Willian's future at Chelsea
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has stressed that Willian is not going anywhere amid the recent speculation linking him with a departure from the club.
The Brazil international has been a consistent starter for the Blues this term and he has been impressive with five goals and five assists in all competitions.
Despite this, there have been doubts regarding his future with his contract expiring in six months' time but Lampard is confident that a deal will be struck over an extension.
"Willian is not going anywhere. We know his contract is up at the end of the season, he’s in conversation with the club, which are still ongoing. There is no news on that but he’s certainly our player now," he told Chelsea TV.
Meanwhile, Lampard also dismissed the rumours relating Ross Barkley to West Ham United and he is pleased with the midfielder's recent performances for the club.
When pressed further on possible exits, Lampard hinted that Olivier Giroud could head through the exit door but that would be dependent on certain circumstances being met.
