Barcelona shrug off interest in Krzysztof Piatek
Barcelona have reportedly shrugged off the transfer pursuit of AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek, according to Sport.
The out-of-favour Polish star has been subject to transfer of top European clubs, with Tottenham leading the chase.
The report adds that Blaugrana have found Piatek’s profile to be unconvincing, hence ruling out the transfer. The 25-year-old was sorted out as one of the strikers to replace Luis Suarez.
This has now opened the door for Premier League club Spurs, who are also in the market for a striker and have also approached Real Sociedad forward Willian Jose.
It is also reported that the North London club could pounce on Piatek should they miss out on the Brazilian striker.
Barca are currently speeding up their search for a No.9 following Suarez’s injury, with Valencia’s Rodrigo Moreno topping the wishlist.
Inter Milan’s sensation Lautaro Martinez also turns to be a key target, but his hefty price tag makes his transfer in January an unlikely one.
