Everton turn down Barcelona's £85m offer for Richarlison
According to Sky Sports, Everton have turned down an offer worth £85m from Barcelona for Richarlison.
The Catalans are in currently in the quest to sign a new striker in the transfer window following the knee surgery to Luis Suarez.
The report also adds that Barca have had an offer turned down by the Toffees for the Brazilian as they aren’t ready to lose one of the valuable players in the crucial stage of the season.
The failed negotiations with Valencia regarding the transfer of Rodrigo has led Barca to Richarlison. It is also said that Barca’s sporting director, Eric Abidal is convinced that the 22-year-old’s style of play is akin to that of Suarez.
Blaugrana want to be deliberate in signing a new no.9 as they don’t want to repeat the same mistake that happened with Kevin-Prince Boateng.
Inter’s Lautaro Martinez is long considered to be the ultimate successor to Suarez, but his hefty price tag makes the transfer in January an unlikely one.
