Liverpool failed with bid for Nigerian winger?
Liverpool are deemed to have failed with a late approach to sign Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal during the January transfer window.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was successful in luring Takumi Minamino to Anfield last month and that proved to be the only piece of business for the club.
However, France Football claims that the German had wanted another signing in the attacking point of view but they could not seal the deal for Chukwueze from the Yellow Submarines.
The Merseyside giants were prepared to pay around £30m for the Nigerian winger but Villarreal were reluctant to sell him for anything less than his £55m release clause.
Chukwueze, who has also been linked with Chelsea in the past, has enjoyed a good season in the Spanish La Liga but his returns have been average with just three goals in all competitions.
Liverpool are expected to move for a new striker during the summer transfer window and reports have claimed that RB Leipzig's Timo Werner will be their prime target.
