Tottenham eyeing move for Norwich defender
Tottenham are reportedly eyeing a summer move for Norwich City centre-back Ben Godfrey, according to The Sun.
The English defender is valued at £50m, and Jose Mourinho appears keen on bringing him to the North London outfit.
Godfrey, 22, has made a total of 18 appearances in the Premier League this season, with the Canaries battling to avoid the relegation.
Spurs are also said to be interested in Godfrey’s fellow defensive partner Max Aarons, who is rated around £30m.
The 20-year-old full-back has also been underwhelming this season, but he was crucial behind the Canaries' promotion last term.
Mourinho’s defence needs some mending after having been deprived of enough players this season.
Meanwhile, Jan Vertonghen is in the final few months of his contract with no plans of extension.
Spurs have also added Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano to their wishlist as Mourinho scouted him during the last weekend’s Bundesliga fixture against Bayern Munich.
The North London outfit are currently trailing fifth-placed Sheffield United in the Premier League table.
