Chelsea could reportedly face competition from Barcelona in the pursuit of goalkeeper Andre Onana from Ajax during the summer transfer window.

The Catalan giants are said to be keen on reducing their wage bill ahead of next season and that has not ceased the speculation over possible arrivals.

According to Sport, the Blaugrana have their sights on signing former graduate Onana from Ajax with deputy goalkeeper Neto likely to head through the exit door after the solitary campaign.

Premier League Chelsea are also understood to hold an interest in Onana and they could be a possible tussle between the European sides to prise away the Cameroonian from Amsterdam.

Blues boss Frank Lampard has recently dropped Kepa Arrizabalaga to the bench and reports have emerged that the 41-year-old wants the Spaniard sold at the end of the season.

Onana has previously been reported to favour a move to Stamford Bridge but the prospect of returning to the Camp Nou could be a tempting prospect for the 23-year-old shot-stopper.
