Tottenham want £22m-rated Croatian full-back

Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Rangers left-back Borna Barisic.

The Croatian turns out to be a catalyst for Steven Gerrard's side and also wanted by Serie A duo AC Milan and AS Roma.

According to the Scotsman, Spurs are eyeing a summer move for the Croatian full-back, who is reportedly valued at £22m.

While his debut season at Ibrox turned out to an injury-ridden one, the 27-year-old has been exceptional for the Gers this term, racking up a total of 2 goals and 14 assists in all competitions.

The former Osijex man has also earned 12 caps for the Croatian national team.

Spurs need reinforcements after what is turning out to be a mediocre second half under Jose Mourinho.

The defence is one of the key areas – full-back positions in particular – that needs serious attention ahead of next season.
