Arsenal star eager to join Barcelona this summer
Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly keen on making the switch to Barcelona when the transfer window reopens in a few months' time.
The Gabon international has less than 16 months remaining on his current deal with the Gunners and this has led to the speculation that he could head through the exit door in the summer.
A recent report from Spain indicated that the Blaugrana may prioritise the signing of Lautaro Martinez over Aubameyang but the Gunners ace still appears keen on joining the Catalan giants.
According to Sport, Aubameyang's family have recently relocated to Catalonia and the 30-year-old is hopeful that he can make the move to the Spanish champions in the near future.
Aubameyang has recently said that he is 'really happy' at Arsenal, where he has received plenty of affection from the fans but his future remains unclear with the lack of progress in the contract talks.
The club-captain is understood to want a £300,000-a-week plus package to commit his future but the board are reluctant to meet that figure after what happened with Ozil following his big-money contract.
Ozil has been disappointing since signing a £350,000-a-week contract in January 2018 and over the past one-and-a-half seasons, he has contributed just six goals and four assists in the league.
