Arsenal leading the race to sign Colombian attacker?
Arsenal are reportedly aiming to beat the likes of Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race to sign James Rodriguez this summer.
The Colombian has struggled with form and fitness concerns at Real Madrid this season and he is widely expected to leave the Bernabeu when the campaign concludes.
Everton and Wolves have already been credited with an interest in the former AS Monaco man but according to Marca, the Gunners are also firmly in the hunt to sign the 28-year-old forward.
Los Blancos have valued Rodriguez at £60m in the past but he could be available for a relatively cheaper price this summer with his contract expiring at the end of next season.
The Spanish giants have no plans of extending his deal beyond that period and manager Zinedine Zidane is expected to utilise the funds gained for new purchases ahead of next season.
Rodriguez has bagged one goal and two assists from 13 appearances for Los Blancos this term.
