Barcelona to make surprise swoop for Tottenham Hotspur star
Barcelona could reportedly make a surprise approach to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham Hotspur when the transfer window reopens.
Ndombele was one of the headline signings of the Premier League last summer after Spurs paid a club-record £65m fee to sign him from Lyon.
He has since struggled to establish himself at the north London side due to regular fitness concerns and of late, manager Jose Mourinho has been publicly critical about his performances.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Ndombele may consider a fresh challenge after just one season in north London and the Blaugrana could be a surprise destination for him.
The Catalan giants are actively on the search for a new striker but it is suggested that they may also recruit a central midfielder with both Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic fancied to head through the exit door this summer.
Ndombele signed a six-year contract with Spurs when he made the switch from Les Gones. The Premier League outfit are likely to demand the entire £65m fee paid, suppose the Blaugrana want to recruit him.
