Lautaro Martinez rejects Inter Milan contract amid Barcelona interest
Lautaro Martinez has reportedly snubbed a new contract with Inter Milan amid the strong interest from Barcelona in signing him.
The Argentine has been earmarked as one of the top targets for the Blaugrana this summer as they seek to reinforce their attacking options.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, the Nerazzurri recently made a fresh contract proposal to Martinez but the proposal has been snubbed by the marksman.
The San Siro outfit have offered him a deal worth £3.5m per season but that is significantly less than what the Blaugrana are willing to pay for his services.
Both Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have publicly urged Martinez to make the switch to the Camp Nou and it appears that the striker is determined to seal the transfer ahead of next season.
The Blaugrana have yet to make an official bid for the striker but reports claim that the Nerazzurri are holding out for the £98m release clause present on the player's contract.
