Manchester United lining up bid for French defender?
Manchester United are reportedly considering a possible move to sign Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig this summer.
The Frenchman has spent most of the current campaign on the sidelines with injury and has made only seven appearances in the league and European ames combined.
Still, he is highly regarded by a number of European sides and Le 10 Sport claims that the Red Devils are mulling whether to make an approach for the 20-year-old's services.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are planning to sign a young centre-back this summer with the likes of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo expected to head through the exit door.
Konate ideally fits into the manager's demands for a young player with potential but he won't come on the cheap as he has more than three years remaining on his Leipzig deal.
United have also been linked with Konate's teammate Dayot Upamecano in recent weeks but the centre-back seems keen on joining league rivals Bayern Munich.
