Chelsea keen on landing Dembele

Chelsea remain determined to land the signature of Moussa Dembele from Lyon despite the interest from Manchester United and Inter Milan.

The Frenchman netted 16 times during the recently-concluded Ligue 1 season and he finished third in the goalscorers' charts behind Kylian Mbappe and Wissam Ben Yedder (both 18).

Of late, it has been reported that Dembele has the preference to join the Red Devils and a deal worth £60m could be finalised for his transfer in the next few weeks.

However, ESPN claims that the west London giants have not given up on the player's pursuit and they are aiming to lure him with a better salary package and the assurance of a regular starting berth.

Dembele has played as the main striker for the majority of his career and he is likely to replace Tammy Abraham or Olivier Giroud up front, should he join the Blues.

The 23-year-old's arrival could pave the way for the departure of Michy Batshuayi. The Belgian has only 13 months remaining on his contract and has recently been linked with West Ham United.
