French club manager confirms striker will be sold
Lille boss Christophe Galtier has confirmed that the club will listen to offers for Victor Osimhen during this summer's transfer window. The Nigeria international has been attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
Osimhen made the switch to Lille as a replacement for Nicolas Pepe last summer and he has since proved a quality purchase for the club with 18 goals in all competitions.
He won't have the chance to extend his goal tally with the curtailed end to the league season and it appears that Lille are prepared to sanction his sale in the near future.
"Regarding Victor and Gabriel, yes, I've known for a long time that they're leaving. They're working hard with us in the meantime. Of course, the club is working to replace [Osimhen]," Galtier said.
Lille president Gerard Lopez has previously indicated that the club would demand at least £70m for Osimhen. However, with the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, they may be tempted to accept a lesser fee.
